The 2025 school year so far has again been very fruitful. It was great to see everyone in our community gather again for more learning and self-improvement. This year was another season of success, with our students courting more than 250 scholarship offers.

Since our founding more than 2 decades ago, we have had more than 3700 students receive scholarships to various independent schools around Victoria. Our annual success rate for the Selective Entry exams have also never dropped below 80% over these years.

As you know, many private schools’ scholarship exams will be held in the second half of this year. These schools include but are not limited to:

• Haileybury
• Scotch College
• Firbank Grammar
• Ivanhoe Grammar
• Korowa Anglican
• Mentone Girl’s Grammar

With so many schools and such a complex examination system, many parents have a range of questions about the scholarship process.

On July 7th (first day of the holiday program), New Century School will hold parent information seminars at our Doncaster and Wheelers Hill campuses, especially for Y3-8 students participating in the holiday program. The seminars will cover how to apply for private school scholarships as well as explaining the early scholarship exam season. We will also share with you some exclusive success stories, and answer parent questions.

This opportunity is open to NCS parents only – this includes parents signed up for the July holiday program. Parents may book individual consultations with our team after the seminar if needed – again, this is open to NCS parents only.
