Overview

Get Ready for the Early Exam Season

Taught by teachers with decades of experience, nothing sets students up for success like our holiday program. Our results over the years show the strong correlation between doing well in the program, and performing well in the exam season. This program is designed to prepare students for the early scholarship exam season coming in the 2nd half of 2025. Schools like Haileybury, Scotch, Korowa, Firbank, Strathcona and Toorak College etc. will be running their examinations in the early season. Some Y6s will also be aiming to score well in Edutest or HAST exams to enter SEAL programs.

Class offered in this holiday program include:

A. Scholarship Exam Training for Y3s, 4s, 5s, 6s and 7s
• Subjects covered are English, Maths, Verbal and Numerical Reasoning.
• There will be mock exams in multiple exam formats, including Edutest, AAST and/or HAST.
• This holiday program is crucial for current Y3s, 4s, 5s and 7s, who all have many opportunities in the early exam season.
B. Scholarship Writing Workshops for Y2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s and 8s
• Prepares students for Selective, ACER, Edutest, AAST and HAST style writing topics
• Will cover actual writing topics from past exam papers
• Students are expected to hand in writing for every topic, to be marked up and commented on by the teacher.
• Class sizes are limited due to time constraints on the close marking of writing pieces. Late enrolments may miss out.
• Y2s will be introduced to writing and given a solid foundation in preparation for the NAPLAN writing task.
C. Maths Olympiad Workshops for Y1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s
• These workshops are a great way to explore your mathematical talents as well as to foster problems solving and lateral thinking skills.
• Classes will run online on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
• Scoring well in the SEAMO is a great way to add to your portfolio.

Maths Olympiad

Preparing students for Maths Olympiad competitions and more complex Maths challenges.
