Dear parents/guardians,

Other than the scholarship exam itself, performing well in other academic assessments can be very persuasive within the scholarship selection process. Parents already know that NAPLAN results are a must. Outside of that, assessments like the ICAS, SEAMO, AMC and KSF etc. can all be very helpful.

To prepare students for such opportunities, NCS is running an Open Exam with papers in numeracy and literacy. Much like our previous Abstract Reasoning Open Exams, we hope to give students more exposure to both the questions and the mentality of sitting these assessments.

This exam is open to all students. It is free for enrolled NCS students*. Following the exam, all students will be given their results anonymously via email, along with the top and average scores for the cohort for each paper.

Select exam questions and explanations will be posted on our online platform with the teachers’ notes for students enrolled in the July Holiday Program Scholarship Classes, and continuing into Term 3. Non-NCS students may also access these resources for a week by giving us your email to create an online account.

Students MUST register before the end of June in order to reserve their spot.

To enrol, please scan the QR code here, or go directly to your NCS campus front desk, or arrange to come to our Burwood East offices (14/24 Lakeside Drive).

*Students already enrolled for Semester 2, or students enrolled in both Scholarship and Writing Holiday Program classes.
